I'm a Chicago-born girl, so the selection of Annie and the Wolves as one of Oprah Mag's 2021's "Best and Most Anticipated Historical Fiction Novels" was an extra special moment for me. Equally exciting was seeing my forthcoming novel in such good company. The Oprah list mentioned a wide range of novels that are immediately going on my own TBR list, including Melanie Benjamin's The Children's Blizzard and The City of Tears by Kate Mosse.
